The Smart50 Awards are a prestigious annual recognition program celebrating Australia’s top 50 most impressive and fast growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Smart50 list is assessed based on:

• Year-on-year revenue growth over the past three financial years;
• Your business needs to show three consecutive years of financial growth;
• You will be asked to upload documentation confirming the past three financial years of revenue, either in the form of a written notice from your company accountant or annual statements from the ATO.

Award Categories:

In addition to applying for the Smart50 list, applicants can also enter in eight key categories, including:

• Innovator Award
• Resilience Award
• Rising Star Award*
• Community Award
• Retail Award
• Sustainability Award
• Marketing Award
• Smart and Lasting Award

*N.B: Startups younger than three years are not eligible for the Smart50 list, but can enter into the Rising Star award. Startups more than three years old are not eligible for the Rising Star award but can enter into the Smart50 list and other categories.
